ABOUT THIS ARTWORK: LONE PINE QUIET INLET
Artist Comments:... A spectacular sunset on a quiet inlet in Ontario shows the bright reflection of sun on water. The craggy, rocky shore supports a lone pine tree that has managed to hold onto a small piece of rocky ground and push its way up towards the sky. It looks healthy and not wind-bent since the inlet provides shelter from the harshest winds. The arms of the tree are open and embrace the last of the day’s sunshine. The sky is on fire with the different hues that comes from a clouded sky at sunset. This magnificent pine tree spoke to me. I was compelled to pay homage to its tenacity and ability to flourish on the rocks as it stood as a tall sentinel overlooking the water.
